Family weekends at the Restaurant des Arts make for unforgettable times, where parent can enjoy a culinary fiesta while the children play.

At the Restaurant des Arts, come and celebrate, come for a change, or come just to try our sublime and elegant meals. The fineness of its “foie gras”, the tradition of its pork loin accompanied by undergrowth mushrooms,  the authenticity of the beef sirloin, tender sweetness of the « crème Brulée » with a bourbon vanilla flavour, the Restaurant des Arts brings forth our regional and traditional culinary arts with finesse and sophistication.

Once upon a time there was a chef…

Today, in his forties, the delightful Pierre Puget displays a veritable passion for the culinary arts.

This artist in a chef’s hat blends with subtlety the authenticity of local produce with the richness of world cuisine.

… But the story doesn’t start here!

Once upon a time there was a young man…

Then, in his teens, Pierre would frequently run off to help a caterer, friend of his parents.

And so this story begins…

He quickly learns the rudiments of the job and in doing so finds his first love. He knows then and there: he will become a chef!

This first experience drives him straight to the Lesdiguières Hotel School in Grenoble, where he achieved his BEP (French professional diploma) in Food Production & Preparation.

Following this, Pierre got to hone his skills and refine his art directly in the field, or (in this case) in the kitchen. He trained as a sous-chef under Roger Desroches in the Hôtel de la Tour, in Chatillon-sur-Chalaronne, from 1987 to 1989.

In 1990, Pierre joins us in the BEST WESTERN Hotel, Chavannes-de-Bogis as a station chef, where his creativity and potential bring him rapidly to assist the chef, whom he will eventually replace in 2006.

And so it has been, until today…

What you must take away from this story is that for the last 21 years, Pierre Puget has been working hard at perfecting the art of delighting your taste buds!
